ECHO - Product design to assist people during a natural disaster

Echo is

A smart wearable, mesh networks, Google Loom and an effective digital product. Echo provides real time feedback during the disaster and uses the information provided to inform rescue services, users in the disaster and donations.  Ethnographic research, understanding pain points, feasible technology and a strong focus on user experience were explored to create Echo.

Deliverables

The User Experience

The user experience is one of the most important elements of the product since the usability is essential in a natural disaster situation. Understanding the mechanics of Echo was the first step, then user personas and hierarchies were defined. Once the hierarchies were developed, in depth user journeys were created. From there a site map was defined and all previous information was used to inform the design of the wireframes. Fun stuff.
